THE VOW
The Vow
1. Imam al-BÁqir (AS), with regard to Allah’s verse in the Qur’an: "They fulfil their vows", said, ‘al-Íasan and al-Íusayn became sick when they were young children, so the Prophet (SAWA) visited them and there were two men with him. One of the two men said
[to Imam Ali], ‘O AbU al-Íasan, why don’t you make a vow for your two children for Allah to cure them.’ He said, ‘I will fast for three days in thanks to Allah Almighty. Fatima also said the same, and so did their servant FiÃÃa. Allah Almighty covered them with good health, and so they fasted the next day.’
